Elisabeth Schön has a Bachelor in International Business & Management and a Master in International Finance. She started out in banking when the 2008 financial crisis hit. Disillusioned with the sector, she left the world of paid labor when she started a family. During that time she became intimately acquainted with the care economy and was drawn to degrowth literature through feminist economics. She is now exploring the non-profit sector and the link between post-growth and the regenerative movement.
